Actors Fund Home Featured on Spectrum News NY1

Highlighting their positive influence within the performing arts community, The Actors Fund Home was featured in Spectrum News NY1’s latest addition of “On Stage.” The segment provided an in-depth look at The Actors Fund, which has been providing support services for those in the performing arts and entertainment industry for over 100 years. Its senior living community, located in Englewood, NJ, was established in 1902 to enrich lives of those who have worked in the entertainment field. The Spiezle-designed Shubert Pavilion features a patient-centered sub-acute wing, a new rehab gym and outdoor garden, and a new assisted-living wing. Spectrum News NY1’s segment also mentions Spiezle’s latest work at The Actors Home – the Friedman Pavilion which houses a 20-bed memory care unit and medical suite complete with an arts studio, dining room, bistro, and memory care garden.

Spiezle worked closely with key stakeholders to create a home that fully embodies the mission and vision of the Fund. Brian Stokes Mitchel, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Actors Fund, says in the video that he has “spent time in other homes all across the country and they’re very depressing. The Actors Fund Home in New Jersey  is incredibly vibrant and it’s a place where not only people go to heal, but they go to continue their lives…I’ve already picked out my room.”
