Congratulations to Angelo Alberto on his Retirement!

Angelo Alberto, Director of Urban Planning, will be retiring on October 31st of this year. Angelo advised us last Fall about transitioning out of Spiezle, in order to pursue his passions in Camden City and other facets of life outside of architecture. The year seems to have passed very quickly, and now we would like to take a moment to celebrate his career and hard work. Angelo has provided excellent service, dedication, and commitment to Spiezle over the last five years, and his mentorship has allowed for the next generation of Spiezle to continue the mission he began at the firm.

During his tenure, Angelo played a pivotal role in several key projects that have left a lasting impact on both our company and the communities we serve. With his expertise, we achieved milestones such as:

  •  202 Park Boulevard: 202 Park Boulevard was awarded a 2022 NJ Future Smart Growth Award. Located in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, the 151-unit rental project overlooks the Cooper River and is the first urban-styled multi-family project of its kind in southern NJ.
  • The Nell at Dunellen Station: A 2024 NJ Future Smart Growth Award winner, the Nell at Dunellen Station converted an obsolete industrial property located directly across the street from New Jersey Transit’s Dunellen Station. The resulting housing and retail development has established integrated connections to the larger downtown neighborhood and amenities. The community also contributes to Dunellen’s affordable housing obligation, with 58 apartments reserved for low- and moderate-income families.

Angelo has presented lectures and has been a guest faculty member and design critic for various colleges and Universities. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the Southern NJ Chamber of Commerce. Angelo received the Camden City Circle of Winners Award and is Chairman of the Board for the Camden City Business Improvement District/Special Services District.

Angelo has helped grow our firm and has brought insight and passion to the projects he has worked on. We want to thank him for his dedication to architecture and serving our clients. While we will miss his day-to-day presence, we are excited for the new adventures that lie ahead for him.

Please join us in wishing Angelo hearty congratulations!
